Uncertainty is one word most people would like deleted from the dictionary. I mean, we’d prefer to know exactly what the future holds before we venture into anything. We want to know what the next minute holds before we choose to live boldly. But do we really know anything about everything? I’m yet to meet anyone who knew exactly what every day of a year or month held before it began. Only God does. So why do we hold ourselves back from taking steps with what we know? Why do we wait till we know it all before we move?

Now, I am not in any way ruling out the need for proper preparation. Because what we see today is people just jumping into ventures with little or no preparation or understanding of what is involved, expecting an unfounded miracle to happen; only to crash-land. The focus of my post today is this: what would you do if all you are sure of is what you need to do to begin? Would you begin? Or would you wait for things to be perfect?

There is famous saying, I’m sure you are aware of it too, “No risk, no reward”. You cannot enjoy the benefits of a successful venture, if you do not take the risk of taking steps, even in the face of uncertainty.

In all our needed planning and preparation, we cannot rule out the need for faith. Without faith, we cannot take risks and without risks, there are no rewards. What sitting in fear of uncertainty does to you is to make you degas and loose zeal. It makes moving a lot harder than it should be.

Are you holding yourself back from taking the necessary steps to get that venture off the ground, simply because you are afraid of uncertainty? Arm yourself with faith today. Things get clearer as we get up and start moving towards our goals, not when we stay put. So get up and walk. Take that step to success and see how clarity and energy wells up inside to propel you closer to the fulfillment of your dream.
