Hello, and welcome to another week and another Friday of a brand new podcast on the NeverTheLess Show. Today, in our continued exploration of wholeness, we ask, “What is wrong with you?“
Reflecting on the story from John chapter 5, where Jesus encounters the man at the pool of Bethesda, we consider that Jesus wasn’t merely asking the man’s opinion on wholeness. Instead, he sought to highlight something deeper—the reasons behind the man’s prolonged stay by the pool. It wasn’t just about the inability to enter the water but the lack of willpower to try beyond the norm.
As individuals facing life’s challenges—trauma, pain, loss—we must take responsibility. Asking ourselves, “What is wrong with me?” becomes crucial. This isn’t a rhetorical question; it’s an introspective journey to understand why we act the way we do. Whether it’s anger issues, struggles with relationships, or other patterns, asking this question initiates a process of self-discovery.
