‘GODWINKS’ ON THE JOURNEY (BLOG POST)

It has been too long, and I am praying that this will not become the permanent opening line on this page.  Life has been busy; then there is this very tiny thing of ‘personal summers’ happening with me that leaves me continuously tired.  (Not in the mood to decode that for anyone just yet).  Anyhow, here I am after like forever, and regardless of the time away, I have carried you all in my heart.

So I returned about two weeks ago from a trip to Maui, yes, Maui.  However, do not envy me, it was not a vacation by any stretch of the imagination.  The trip was one of the most intense things I have had to do in a long time, and even though I have been back two weeks, I am yet to recover from all the tiredness.  That said, I had a fantastic time, learning with 63 other amazing women what is most important when all is said and done.  The experience while it wasn’t about fun and wasn’t one I went through alone, is one I have struggled to share.  There is something within me that keeps telling me, treasure it, use it well, and don’t open it up in too much of a hurry.  What that means, is that I am yet to unpack most of it and I am not sure when I will do that.  When that time comes, I promise you will be one of the first ones to know.

Moving on to today’s post since I am here, what are GodWinks, you may ask.  Well, Godwinks is a word for those times when you are not sure which way to go, what step to take next and out of the blue something happens that sends you in a direction totally different from one you would have chosen to go and if you pursue it to the end, you see that the answer you were looking for is right there at the end of this new and out of the blue direction.  In a  nutshell, it is how God puts the answers for our next level or season in unexpected places, and if we will follow Him by faith, He brings us where we need to be by it.  I have had a lot of Godwinks on my journey, and the trip to Maui was one of those.  The training I went for was one that some people had applied to attend for over five years and somehow had not been able to attend. My entire processing was in one month!  With the benefit of hindsight, it has turned out to be the answer to a question I didn’t know to ask and as a bridge to cover some gaps I had.

Have you ever experienced a Godwink?  Did you start something entirely by chance only to realise that it was Heaven’s plan for you?  How did you recognise your Godwink?  I call them Godwinks because I am still not smart enough to be able to tell you what to look out for.  They never present the same way even though they always end up the same way – as God’s will for that season.  So how is this helpful then you wonder?

Well, I wanted to alert you that they happen and if you are in a bind and the only thing that keeps showing up is something you don’t understand and not even sure you want to do, it may just be God winking at you.  How about you step out by faith and see what comes out of it.  Of course, it must never negate or invalidate His Word.  One example of a Godwink in the Bible is how David chanced upon Goliath!

Let me know how it goes for you.

Embrace Your Super Power!

Thank you sister Bidemi for continuously sharing your deep insights of Gods awesomeness. I can relate with this part of your message ‘The training I went for was one that some people had applied to attend for over five years and somehow had not been able to attend. My entire processing was in one month!’.

In the last decade or so I’ve been increasely consumed by fear of the unknown causing me to have so much unrest and sadness.

Lately I hear God reminding me of all the ways he’s come through for me in the past and that I do not have to fret about the unknown or anything at all. That’s my Godwinks as his spirit has given me rest in the last couple of months and rescued me so completely from a decade+ of unrest and sadness.

I’m really blessed to be connected to you and trust God that he will continuely watch over you and that concerns you, as you continue to bring glory to his kingdom. God bless you always sis B 🙏🤗
