Nobody wants a fair-weather friend, not you and certainly not Jesus. We want friendships forged in the fires of life, not tempered by hardship or swayed by the excitable moments. We want friends born for adversity.

Pause. Are you one?

Why do you really follow Jesus? For hot meals, jobs or fast cars? For the social status or to tick it off the religion box?

What then would make you leave?
