One of my favourite parables as told by Jesus is the parable of the Treasure.  Where a man considers a field for purchase, realises that there is a treasure in the field, so he sells everything else he owns and buys the field that has the treasure buried in it.

When people tell me they desire to be great, I begin to check their lives for corresponding action that proves their commitment to the desire for greatness.  Most of the time, I find none.  As we continue to mine Wisdom for an effective 2021 from the book of Proverbs, today we consider Proverbs 2. 

The gist is that if we truly want to arrive at greatness, we must give Wisdom a priority of place.  It has been said that where a man spends most of his money is indicative of what they treasure.  In a manner of speaking, what do you spend in the pursuit of wisdom?
